Riddle Players Theatre Company

Well, you've met my friends at Touch-N-Go. Well, there's another awesome group of people who are absolutely awesome. They're called the Riddle Players Theatre Company. Today, we took a field trip to our storage unit, and saw all the fun things that are available for our upcoming production. Plenty of Flats, a door, tools and paint, costumes, make-up...yes, it was all there! We found lots of fun things in the costumes, and some strange hats, props, and even severed body parts. There's nothing quite like bursting into song with severed body parts and theatre people who can actually sing on key.

We arrived to the storage unit in three cars-for the six of us, including our awesome advisor Brian--who, fun fact, also advises the pep band.

Besides our advisor, there's Nathaniel, Matt, Ali (budget), Ethan, me, and a few others. We're such a fun group. Now when you see these photos, also imagine random bursting into song. That's how you know you're with the right group of people. Everyone in this group recognizes musical references. I always have so much fun because theatre is what I'm best at, and we speak the language. We're a small group, so we all help with everything in some way. There's always a job to do, an opinion needed. We listen to ALL ideas.

There was a treasure trove of things to see. I think we all let out a little gasp of excitement at the realization of all the fun things we had to work with.

Every production needs a baseball bat, a golf
club, and a funeral bouquet

Because no stage show is complete without a funeral bouquet

We dressed up in costume, and shot each other with orange-tipped guns. After a stern warning from our advisor to not bring those things anywhere NEAR campus!!

Look at all these old scripts and playbills we found. As one person said, it was like a yearbook of all the things that Riddle Players has done.

We found ourselves some handy tools-that army bag was full of nuts and bolts we could use to put our sets together. We also found some paint-red and silver and beige. This white paint had actually hardened to a paste, which gave us a laugh!

On the stranger side, we found a fantastic 4 costume and a severed arm...

Look at all this cool stuff! Costumes, and makeup, decorative boards, makeup, drop-cloth, tools....

And at the end of the day, we all enjoyed a nice, cold drink. JUST KIDDING! Another awesome prop we found and had a good laugh over.

So that's Riddle Players Theatre company. With our production coming up in four to five short weeks, stay up-to-date on all the fun things this awesome group is doing right here!

Events with Touch-N-Go

So, as mentioned, Touch-N-Go does COOL STUFF.

Much like Prescott BCA, TNG here in Daytona beach brings in movies, comedy acts, and puts on other fun activities like Casino night.

The Thunderbirds visit ERAU

It was Drew's idea to put the skirts
behind the screens to make it more
visible
There was setting up for when the thunderbirds came to visit, which meant getting up REALLY early-like seven AM!!!

The chairs and that stage with the skirt?
Yup, Touch-N-Go did it.

Casino Night

Then there's Casino night, where there was over ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS in Prizes!!

Paint U EDM Music night

All darkness, glow in the dark paint, an outside stage that had to be covered in a tarp. The grass is still lime green. People were throwing their glow necklaces in the trees.

This was set-up. Everyone got really excited about the HUGE sound board we had. I mean look at the size of this thing!!!

I've never quite seen EVERYONE gathered around the sound board quite like this.

Finally, the event!! All that set-up, for this. It was SO COOL. This is the view from outside, and behind, the flying paint from the paint cannon. Yes, I said PAINT. CANNON.

BASEBALL PRACTICE
See, Touch-N-Go isn't just events, set up, and clean-up. When we finish early, we get to just have fun. After all, we are all college students, we like to goof around! So WIKD (the radio station that helped with the event) brought the bat, TNG brought the ball, and Marcus pitched, and everyone up on the stage got to hit.

Sometimes it's fun to just hang out, throw the ball around, relax...

Drew runs the TNG softball team, you can see Manny and Lorraine here ready to play!

So that's a Martian's eye view from some really cool events Touch-N-Go does. Stay up to date on all my super-fun college adventures back here!
