Girls Tennis Banquet 2013

So this was my last year playing Girls Tennis at East Lyme High School. Our banquet was heart-wrenching, tear-jerking, and absolutely endearing as i enjoyed time with manyof my friends who i've grown close to in our years of playing tennis in good weather and bad, through wins, losses, drama, school, and everything else. No matter what, we were always a team

so meet our coach, Laurie Zrenda. She coached me for four years of hard work and dedication. I loved her as a coach. She gave you back exactly as much as you put in.

So here are the Seniors as we received our flowers and final certificates-with tear-stained eyes, smiles, hugs, and definitely lots of love in our hearts.

Here are the small group of juniors that made up a very important part of the team, as they hopefully will fill our shoes when we leave. We have faith they'll do a great job and lead our team to great successes!

I was so proud to have so many talented sophomores on our team this past year. They were motivated, fun-loving, and completely dedicated. They brought 110% to the court and the game every time, and were aptly rewarded

East Lyme Girls Tennis had a huge group of freshmen this past year, and we were grateful. They worked hard, and will fill the team with talent and heart, and their experience as they stick with it will be invaluable.
As I hopefully expressed aptly, The Girls Varsity Tennis team 2013 was a beautiful group of young ladies who were so, so talented! I can't express my gratitude enough to every one of them, and i hope they'll all continue to excel as i continue onto my next adventure- COLLEGE!

Baskteball-SENIOR SEASON

This Post has been a long time Coming. Boys' basketball this year was something else. I worked like a dog, found a new app to make life easier, and ended up working harder due to extra time...Go figure.

Here are some of the posters made on Senior Night for the boys. I didn't make them (I was busy, not being recognized) We lost four Seniors- Wade, Kevin, Nick and Anthony. And me. The boys got me flowers, to which i could only say a flustered "aww thanks"

These are the boys returning their uniforms after the last game.

The season is over now, but I know the game will go on next year, and I can only hope they find a manager as great as me.

So that's boys Basketball 2012-2013. My senior year. I guess i should say it now- I'll miss you all!

This is a Saturday Practice Shivani and Shruti are the left, and Priti and her partner are on the right.

Another picture from Saturday Practice. From Left to Right is Julia (Junior) and Seniors Caroline and Puja

Here's what sums us up pretty well- Pizza, (You may remember, We love pizza) So here's a bunch of us snuggled together, eating pizza and bonding while we wait for our turn on the courts. The foreground is all freshman and sophomores, but in the back is a couple of seniors and in the way back, in pink, is Kiki.

Colchester Community Theatre Presents Cinderella

So It's been awhile Since I've been here. Terribly sorry about that. Tennis started right after Cinderella, so this is really a first chance for me to sit down.
So, as most (If not all) know, I am a member of Colchester Community Theatre. I've been there for three years. This, unfortunately, was my last year with the group, but we did my absolute favorite production- Cinderella.
This picture is from Tech Day (load in) Centrer stage is our magical Pumpkin Carriage. In front is the set up of the Pit Orchestra. The Green and Yellow pieces are from the Village, and the other side is what the back looks like, and is Cinderella's house. The wall in front of the green house, is part of the Palace throne room. At CCT, we are very invetive with our pieces. I'm especially fond of our backstage crew, who are so organized!

Cinderella! CLOSE THE DOOR! This is cinderella's house. Do those wall's shapes look familiar? They are the back of the village! It was a magical performance! I loved everything about this "Door" It was just all very funny. The chair by the fire place is Cinderella's chair; "In my own little corner, in my own little chair..." Sound familiar?

This group of people are just a select few members of my family. Top Left is Wallis (our diredctor) and the backstage Manager, Laura. Top Right is Diane Ozmun (President, and also Queen). Middle Left, Is Mitchell, Me (like the tiara?) and Rich (lighting designer). middle Right is myself and Katie Fiducia. Bottom Left is our stepsisters-both men, both hillarious as female characters. Bottom Right (from right to left) Is one of the stepsisters, Prince Christohper (Joe), Cinderella (Siobhan-very cool), Cinderella's other stepsister, and our Stepmother. Left is me with Prince Christopher, who I spotlighted during the show.

This is from dress rehearsal. On the moon is our fairy Godmother. Over 70 people volunteer with the community theatre group, and there are people who travel over 2 hours to be here!

Just a picture of the Gavotte. My sister joined the show this year and I was honored to have her join the family as a dancer.

This is A rehearsal of the Wedding. Cinderella is in rags-which isn't the case in the show, but not everything has to be perfect at as a rehearsal. The King and Queen are to the right, (stage left) and the stepsisters are partially cut out of the frame. I almost cried at the End. Not gonna lie. We had light up tiaras and wands (i kept mine)

I have a million Pictures that i could share, and still not give you an accurate picture of my CCT family. For a full backstage Pass Check out my Youtube Channel.

DIY Pizza Cups

So This Recipie is pretty fun. Pizza Cups. They are like mini pizzas.
serves 3.

  1. Take  A tin of Pillsbury Country-style (not flaky layer, or buttermilk, they don't work as well.) And open them up.
  2. Take six out.

3. Grease a muffin tin
4. Spread the biscuits out to the edges and up the sides in the muffin tin (as you can see, i only made four, because it was for two people)

5. Put the muffin tin in the oven for four minutes on 250 degrees farenheit, while you prepare the other ingredients, or until white and fluffy.

Okay, do you follow me so far? Your Cupcake tin should look like this. See how white and fluffy??

Kay, While those were cooking you should have been getting out the Mozzarella cheese and Spaghetti Sauce. If you're feeling up for some spice, add italian seasoning for that "authentic restaurant taste". (exceot no restaurant serves these, so you know...but it's a thing. Bear with me.)

Alright, Now here's the plan

6. Spread the sauce out on top of the white fluffy biscuits. There should be a little dip in the middle, be sure to fill that with sauce.
7. sprinkle cheese generously on top. If you put seasoning on it, you can put it on before, or after the cheese. a VERY LITTLE BIT of pepper also tastes pretty good.

Ok. We're almost done, I promise.

8. Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is a little orange, and the bread, which you probably can see the edges of, if you cook like me, should be golden-brown.

9. Remove WITH AN OVEN MITT. IT WILL BE VERY HOT.

Ok, So Kids, this might be a good time to go find Mommy and daddy, cuz it involves sharp pointy things. :)

10. Use a steak knife to separate the cheese from where it got stuck to the pan, and flip, CAREFULLY, the pizzas out of their cups.

11. Put on a plate, and allow to cool for three minutes,

12. (The fun part.) ENJOY

So that's MY favorite meal, because i make it by myself. It tastes really good, and they're like mini pizzas. If you do it right, they even taste good. Bon apetit!

Tubing in the Charleston

So today was a fun day for yours truly. We went out on my Uncle's boat, with my two cousins. A sweet little eighth grader named Olivia, and a little guy named Harry, who's actually pretty cool, if not ALWAYS up for a little mischief. But he's a guy, so it's okay. He comes by it honestly.
This is my Uncle's boat. Don't ask me it's dimensions or anything. That's my cousin Harry in the back.
So Before we all went on, We all had to ride out, so we grabbed our lunches, and sat in the front of the boat. You can see my cousin Harry, My sister Serina, and, blotched by water on the camera, my cousin Olivia.

This is my sister and my cousin Olivia. Aren't they so cute together? They hadn't gone on the Tube yet. But They are so tight.

When The two of them Fell off the tube, we all nearly wet our pants laughing. Thankfully, they took it well too.

Then it was my turn. I went with my Cousin Harry. How many times did i fall off? Oh, I'm not telling you that.

For Some reason that Defies explanation, both my sister and Olivia wanted to go back out. Being the wee daredevils they are, they both tried their lot at standing on the tube... Whatever floats their...uh..tube, right?

At the end of the Day we were tired, happy, and ready to get redressed and warmed up. back in our place at the front of the boat, Here's the last picture of myself, my sister, and Olivia from that day. Wet, tired and happy. we had the best day tubing on the Charleston.
